About the Speaker- Michael C Soulen, MD & Diana van Houten, CRNP

Dr. Michael Soulen is Professor of Radiology and Surgery and Director of Interventional Oncology at the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he has been on the faculty for 25 years. Dr. Soulen is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He was Chief Resident in Radiology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by clinical and research Fellowships at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital before coming to Penn Medicine.

Diana van Houten has been an NP in IR for 9 years. Prior to that, she worked as a surgical/trauma ICU nurse for 5 years and prior to that in medical oncology. Her role in IR is to see patients in their outpatient clinic in evaluation for liver-directed therapies-pre and post-procedure. She also manage procedure-related symptoms, i.e. post embolization syndrome.
