Carrie is presenting recent research on differences occurring physically and metabolically with SPD and patients on the spectrum and the challenges they present. She will also provide anecdotal information about what has been done in her department as well as suggestions from the parents of these patients.

Carrie has been a nurse for over 13 years. The beginning part of her nursing career was in the emergency room, most of it as a traveler. Once she came into the hospital as permanent staff, she switched to surgical trauma ICU. Six years ago, this past September Carrie transferred from the STICU to Radiology. Then four years ago, she moved into the pediatric area and has loved the change. She enjoys working with all of the radiology staff to make the patient experience the best it possibly can be.
