Presented by Jocelyn Hill MN, RN, CVAA, OCN. VA-BC – Providence Health - St. Paul’s Hospital

The patient who gets their CVC inserted in the IR suite is notu sually the routine patient; typically they have difficult and challenging vascular access. Outside the IR Suite, the patient will be seen by many other clinicians to provide therapy and perhaps education for home IV. This presentation will provide an overview of the importance of appropriate device placement and accurate documentation to ensure positive patient outcomes. It starts in the IR suite but ends with the patient. We need to share critical information and knowledge to provide the best care and preserve the CVC.
