Presented on April 4, 2016
Presented by Kathrina Boldt-MacDonald RN – Children’s Hospital of Michigan

For Kathrina nursing, providing consistent best care/practice, and maintaining a dynamic IR service during a state of extreme flux is important. As sectors of the service unraveled, she explored the best available options to maintain high standards of care. Integrating new, less experienced staff, while incorporating a wider scope of services, was facilitated by research, education, and mentoring. Nursing served as the cohesive thread of leadership that enabled the service to reassess and redefine the unique role of the IR nurse.
