I have been a Registered Nurse for 32 years, with 11 years in the ICU and 21 years of radiology nursing experience. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Care Administration and hold a BSN and Master’s in Nursing. I obtained my CRN certification in 2011 and I am a CCRN alumni. I also obtained certification as a Legal Nurse Consultant in 2014 and have worked for a law firm out of Elgin, Illinois performing case review and summations for attorneys.
For the last nine years, I have practiced in the academic setting as an Assistant Director of Radiology over Interventional Radiology. My interests include process and quality improvement activities to make patient and staff experience streamline and exceptional. My hobby is fresh and salt water aquariums. Currently, I practice as a Senior Risk Management Specialist in the Patient Safety and Risk Management department at the University of Illinois Hospital.
I have been published in Biltmore’s Who’s Who, Manchester’s Who’s Who Among professional Business women, served on the United Way Women’s Leadership council, published an article on Interventional Radiology for the Nursing Spectrum, and was published as a feature article on The Role of the Radiology Nurse Liaison in the fall 2017 edition of IR Quarterly.
