Dr. Susan Thibeault has a Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia Practice, Masters of Science in Biology and a Masters in Business. She is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Yale in New Haven, CT and the Lead CRNA of Safety and Quality for Yale New Haven Health. Formerly, Susan was an emergency department nurse, cardiac critical care nurse and Flight Nurse/Paramedic. Susan has been a passionate educator and facilitator for programs supporting patient safety in the areas of capnography and respiratory compromise for over fifteen years. She has an engaging style, makes complex concepts easy to understand and apply to clinical practice, all while having fun.
Karen Green has worked as an RN in interventional radiology for 18 years as both a staff nurse and charge nurse. Karen’s career began in the Emergency Department, then consulting, education, and finally Radiology. She was instrumental in initiating Capnography at her previous organization as a member of the Moderate Sedation Committee. Karen has been a member of ARIN for 18 years, serving as Committee/Task Force Chair, Board member, President and Executive Director. In 2015, Karen chaired the Moderate Sedation Task Force. This talented group researched and developed the ARIN Capnography Position Statement and the Capnography Clinical Practice Guideline.
