As the average lifespan increases, the number of people diagnosed with dementia is projected to rise significantly from 47.5 million in 2015 to 135.5 million by 2050, a 285 percent increase within 35 years.  It is only a matter of time before you will be treating someone with dementia in radiology.

Richard Sigler, MSN, RN, is a registered nurse with 25 years' experience, 16 of which have been in Radiology.  He is also the primary caregiver to his wife of 22 years who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s 6 years ago.  Through work and personal experience, he has developed a set of skills in dealing with dementia patients in everyday life, as well as in the radiology setting.
